Alright, I just wanted to let y’all know why I haven’t released any chapters yet. Well, I can tell you it wasn’t my plan to fall behind. No, sir, it was not. Rather, life took my plan, picked it up, broke its back, and slammed it on the ground for good measure. I’ll keep it brief as I am very tired at this exact moment. For the past couple weeks, my employer’s son, the handicapped man I take care of, has been hospitalized with colon cancer. Very not cool. So they’ve had me watching their dogs while they’re at the hospital (they have three golden retrievers, an akita mix, and one of the goldens has a litter of puppies). Which has seen me working longer hours and more days than usual. Which means less time for writing. Now, I planned on using this weekend to catch up, but then I got sick. And not the comfy minor cold sort of sick. Not the “I’ll grab a bowl of soup, a cup of tea, and tuck myself in to relax until I feel better” kind of sick. On Friday, I was so sick I couldn’t properly function; I couldn’t drive, I couldn’t concentrate, and I couldn’t stay awake. Saturday saw me busy and sick, so, double whammy. And today offered some relief, but not enough to catch up on writing. So sorry about that. This week looks good for seeing some new stuff, though.
